JONES, LINDA DUPREE - 61 a lifelong resident of Shades Valley died at her home on September 8, 2009. Ms. Dupree graduated from Auburn University and held a MA in education from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. After graduation from college, Ms. Dupree served as a Jefferson County Juvenile Probation Officer and later was the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer of Shelby County. She is survived by her son, Matthew T. Dupree, Hoover; her Grandson, Rhett Dupree, Pulaski, TN; and her brother, Thomas L. Jones of Huntsville. A memorial service for Ms. Dupree was held at Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church on September 16 at 2:30 p.m.
