SNOW, BARTON SPERRY of Birmingham, AL passed away August 17, 2011 at the
age 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barton E. Snow and
Lucille Lawson Snow of Cahaba Heights, and his infant sister, Nancy. He
leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, daughter Carrie Snow
Cearlock (Jim), 2 grandsons, James Lawson Cearlock and Hudson Ethridge
Cearlock; brothers, C. Kendall Snow (Linda) and Robert Lawson Snow;
numerous family members and a host of loyal friends. Sperry was born in
Birmingham, AL on March 11, 1948. He attended Shades Valley High School
and received a degree in Political Science from Jacksonville State
University. Sperry proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Sperry was the Co-owner of Barton-Clay Fine Jewelers in Mt. Brook
Village. He was a 33 year devoted member of the Shades Valley Rotary
Club. Sperry served on the Jacksonville State University Foundation
Board and the St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation Board. He was highly
respected for his generosity to numerous charities. One of the charities
that he held dearest to his heart was Children's Harbor, where he served
as a faithful board member. A memorial service will be held at Dawson
Memorial Baptist Church on Monday, August 22 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation
with the family will take place from 10:00 a.m. until service time. The
family request, in lieu of flowers, contribution be made to Children's
Harbor 1600 6th Ave So., Birmingham, Alabama 35233 or to the charity of
your choice. His daughter, family and friends will miss him dearly, but
find peace in knowing that he is resting in the arms of his Lord and
Savior
